Preface

LOFTY ASPIRATIONS

MadinahScribe aspires to be a household name in the field of academia, recognised across both East and West. The Salaf carried knowledge with integrity and honour, treating it as a trust and a responsibility, and the tools you use in your pursuit of knowledge must reflect that same standard. Whether you are stood at the shore or are firmly established in its practice, to pursue knowledge is to claim your share of an inheritance that demands precision, reverence, and steadfast purpose. Islam has the truest claim to stand at the forefront of academia, and we must remember our academic lineage.

How It Started…

MadinahScribe was founded in al-Madīnah while I was living there. I would spend many hours between my apartment and al-Masjid al-Nabawī, reflecting on an outline for the coming decade. I desired to remain in the pursuit of knowledge, yet I also needed a means to sustain that path. In time, this gave rise to a project that would serve both as a profitable company and as a beacon of encouragement for other students of knowledge.

It is my intention that this endeavour be tied to hijrah, that it may grow in strength and stability until it allows me to return to al-Madīnah and establish it as a permanent base of operations for MadinahScribe. My hope is that this work remains firmly connected to the spirit of that city and continues to remind both myself and others of the central place knowledge must hold in our lives.
